The art of Yoga has continuously piqued the interest of hundreds of health aficionados all across the world. The benefits of Yoga on a person’s overall health and physique are well known, and everyone can attest to the amazing effects and results this form of exercise brings. However, Yoga is more than just for the physical. Many would be surprised to know that Yoga can also bring astounding improvements to one’s sex life.

Yoga and sex are, in fact, a match made in heaven. Both activities are carried out in a careful and artistic manner and hold many similarities. Yoga demands and cultivates in its practitioners a high level or concentration and sensitivity to one’s surroundings, increased physical agility, and continuous mental awareness. Once you can combine all these elements smoothly into your Yoga workouts, you are sure to attain a successful and fulfilling routine, both physically and mentally. The same is also true when it comes to sexual activity, as it calls on both partners to be agile, mentally alert, and sensitive to each other’s movements in order to obtain the most pleasure. In Yoga, one thinks of the practice as a sacred, special time and if the same outlook is transferred and applied to sex, it brings great improvements to each sexual experience.

So what are some of the ways that Yoga can improve one’s sex life? Here are a few reasons why the two make such a perfect pair:

Yoga focuses on how people feel. When it comes to sex, let’s face it: most people don’t pay attention to the overall feeling of intimacy. Instead, most will be preoccupied with worrying about how they look, or what their partners will think of them. In practicing Yoga, you can learn to let go of all anxieties and fears and instead focus on responding and enjoying each and every sensation. You also better understand and learn how to be more sensitive and alert to your partners movements and actions.

Enhanced energy levels. Practicing Yoga results in gaining better endurance and harnessing more energy. This allows you enjoy your sexual activities longer and perform better each and every time.

Improve fitness. Yoga greatly benefits overall fitness, balance, and posture, aside from having positive effects on endurance and strength. Muscles are also better toned with practice and better toned muscled respond better during sexual activity.

More sex positions. Yoga cultivates flexibility and strength. with this, you and your partner can explore new positions you might never have considered before. With the proper toning and practice, you’re sure to be able to achieve those that seemed impossible before.

Better orgasms. Your pelvic muscles have a direct connection to your orgasms and Yoga can greatly improve the condition of these muscles, as well as your sex organs. With this increased strength comes better relieved muscles and improves flexibility.

The ancient Hindu approach to working with the human nervous system, involves Hatha yoga. Presently within the twenty-first century, all too many people, including those who are yoga teachers, see the respected physical science as exclusively relating to individuals health and vitality for their body and mind. In one respect, it does involve this, but additionally includes so much more. In reality, the practice of Hatha yoga is more spiritual than it is physical and not as straightforward as some individuals think. There relates a lot more to a person’s understanding, rather than the exotic path regarded toward, reliving stress or gaining flexibility.

Originally, the sages intention in developing hatha yoga, related to an individual gaining within their consciousness in a harmonious way, therefore enabling them to encounter the inner self. According to them, this relates to the different states of consciousness, as well as reaching a heavenly state in which a person lives and works in as a way to prepare for meditation.

When performing the various asanas, concentrate on the feeling of energy flowing through the nerves. As you progress through your learning, make it a goal to gain sensitivity in accordance to the positions and when you have been in that position long enough. This way you can move smoothly from one asana, onto the next.

In actuality, it is very similar to a deliberate and fluid dance. Additionally, you should make sure to inhale through the diaphragm and not the chest muscles while doing all of the postures. While you are stretching, make sure that you don’t force the body, but rather relax into each of the poses. The main goal should not involve becoming supple and flexibly. Instead, you should free your mind of any thoughts that you are having, as well as any tension and that way you will feel more alive, as you are more aware and happy.

Although there are many difficult hatha yoga routines, the twenty-four asanas incorporating the above similarities are enough to provide a balanced system for an individual’s daily use. This is all the yoga you will ever need in order to help with quieting your mind in preparations for meditation. If you are looking for the best results, look for an instructor who is qualified within hatha yoga. The instructions, as well as drawings included are meant only as a guide. Any person wanting more elaborate detail should inquire within a school specializing within hatha yoga.

Hatha yoga works to balance an individual physically, as well as their physic energies in preparation for meditation, therefore relating to a spiritual purpose. Not only does it help us to stay young and beautiful, as well as evoke creativity, but additionally it works as a way to help an individual in the quieting in their mind, body, and emotions, so they may become more aware of themselves consciously, as well as the self within.

Are you pulling hair out trying to figure out some way to balance everything you need to do? Are you fed up with feeling stressed enough you’re prone to crying in the middle of the day? Do you feel like a balloon about to pop if one more thing is added onto your plate?

You should consider a stress-relieving form of meditation called breathing color. Taking ten or so minutes out of your busy schedule will do wonders in making your life easier to handle as you’re buffeted by the day-to-day tasks all of us face. This simple technique will improve your standard of living. People negatively affected by stress often have a harder time fighting off illness. Learning how to reduce your stress will help your day go better and can improve your life expectancy.

Find a comfortable area to lie down or sit in. Once you’re comfortable, close your eyes. Breathe in through your nose and out of your mouth. Find a pattern with between twelve and eighteen breaths a minute until you’ve got a good rhythm. Once you’ve found your rhythm, envision yourself surrounded with a brilliant white light from the top of your head down to your toes. Keep thinking about it for about two minutes.

Choose a color and picture yourself surrounded by an intense light of that color. If you choose a warm color, like red, yellow, or orange, picture it starting from your feet and surrounding your body. If you choose a cooler color, such as blue, indigo, or violet, picture the light as starting from your head before covering the entirety of your body as though it is coming from the atmosphere. Picture shades of green from coming in from your abdomen. Take some time to let the color envelop you.

As you breathe in, picture the color entering your mouth and going down to your lungs and heart. When you breathe out, imagine the complementary (opposite) color being pulled from the inside of your body into your lungs and then going out.

Do this for about six minutes, breathing in the color and breathing out the complementary color before switching back to a pure white light for another two minutes. Once you feel ready, slowly sit up and return to your normal activities.

Do this activity at least once a day. You can do it in the morning to invigorate yourself, or at night in the bath to relax after a stressful day. Visualize the color you think will help you best, and use them for your meditation.

If you find yourself stressed in a situation where it isn’t possible to go through the whole routine, find a picture with color in it. Study the picture intently, paying attention only to the color. Once you’ve had your fill of one color, move on to the next. This will help you relax anywhere on the go.

When you think of an orthodox criminal, the last person likely to cross your mind is a Yogi. This is due to the fact that Yogis are perceived to be an inactive calm person and a criminal on the other hand is perceived to be a very active, angry person. A Yogi and a criminal can only be equalled to South and North. Crime and Yoga are two words that never connect in real life hence the reason why we focus on the two in this article.

A typical Yoga class begins with a session of breathing in and out, an exercise that focuses on attaining maximum concentration on the act of breathing. Breathing in makes one aware of the life giving force which is extended to all parts of the body. On the other hand, exhaling the air profoundly and completely gives one relief. As simple as the act of breathing is, it allows one to focus all their attention on mental concentration.

Basically, just the act of focusing helps one clear away all impulsive and tempting thoughts of distractions that run through a criminal’s mind and which leads to crime. If a habitual criminal would take a moment and focus all his attention on his distracting thought, he will realize that it’s not the best thought hence withdraw from committing the crime.

Research shows that a lot of domestic violence cases are as a direct result of stress and strains in the relationship caused by arguments. If people can really focus all their attention and attain some degree of calmness, it would mean that people would never reach the point of argument, which will in turn translate to low rates of domestic violence.

Equally, all forms of violent crimes are as a result of tension building up, and the only alternative of the individual is to fling punches or pull a knife to release the tension. In light to this, if one could arm themselves with self calming tools, the rates of crime and violence would drastically drop.

However, Yoga does not apply to people who assume that the actions they are taking are as a result of lacking alternatives of releasing tension and stress. If a criminal feels unappreciated, threatened and disrespected, more often than not they strike out to get attention. These are a pre-meditated action, actions that are well calculated in the mind hence Yoga can never apply under such circumstances.

According to traditional teachings of Yoga from India, the basis of activities and exercises that form Yoga should feature the philosophy of how to interact with each other to be able to live full lives. The physical and mental health benefits of Yoga are only an icing of the cake about the whole process of Yoga that has been interpreted by the Western Worlds. It is believed that if criminals also apply the traditional interpretations of Yoga, crime rates will go down and even disappear.

Despite the fact that Yoga has immeasurable health benefits, it would be difficult to convince a businessman to take Yoga classes. This is due to the complexity of the nature of his work. That not withstanding lets look at three major benefits of Yoga and how suitable they are to a businessperson.

First of all, take a moment and reflect about how your health affects your business bearing in mind that good health influences how you concentrate at work, gives you the energy to work harder and increases your productive hours. Yoga benefits one’s physical health immensely.

The simplest way to cater to your physical well being as a businessperson is through Yoga. This is because the exercises are effortless and anyone can take them regardless of their shape and size. Yoga’s health benefits are both short term and far reaching. As a businessman, you must admit that daily chores leave the body tensed and worked out. Practicing Yoga regularly helps release tension and stress automatically by stretching the muscles hence creating a good blood circulation through all body parts.

Far reaching benefits include; assisting the body’s lymphatic system to be able to handle waste products effectively, assisting the digestive system to function effectively and finally, one is able to achieve a general body coordination and balance not forgetting flexibility.

The second benefit you reap from Yoga is having a stable mental health. Things as simple as breathing are taken for granted, thanks to the busy schedules businessmen have. Conversely, when you attend Yoga, you will have all the time in the world to breathe properly which is very vital in one’s mental health.

By and large, each Yoga class starts with an upright breathing exercise. Yogis inhale and exhale air slowly hence drawing all their attention to the single act of breathing. With all the attention focused on breathing, one is able to appreciate the life giving benefit of breathe hence achieving an optimal level of calmness that busy schedules don’t allow businessmen to seek out. The calmness, in its own right is a stepping stone for one to achieve a common focus.

Due to the intricacy of a businessman’s daily life, it becomes next to impossible for them to focus properly one any single thing. Attending Yoga regularly, you will learn how to swiftly clear off all distracting thoughts and be able to draw all your mental efforts on a single task at hand. Most importantly, you learn the self discipline of focusing which is vital to achieving a stable mental health.

Finally, Yoga gives an individual immeasurable happiness; naturally, people normally postpone short term happiness for some numinous point in future when they predict that everything will blend in together and be okay.

Important to note is that Yoga does not, by any means move you closer to that mystical point in the future, on the contrary, it teaches and trains one to accept their current situation and be content. Contentment translates to happiness.

It is very natural to have the feelings of uncertainty and anxiety of the unknown when we do something for the first time. More often than not, these feelings are totally unfounded and they tend to disappear as fast as they came. However, it never is the same for all cases and a simple thing can make someone develop a very unenthusiastic first impression. This may cause one to dislike intensely never wanting to try that activity or past time again.

For instance, despite the fact that Yoga has proven health benefits, new Yogis tend to make some common mistakes on their first day which make them hate the practice forever. Following are the three most common mistakes, and how they can be avoided for one to reap maximum benefits of Yoga.

First common mistake is not being able to identify what you want to attain from practicing Yoga. Start by asking yourself what attracted you to Yoga, set attainable goals which may be either mental, physical or spiritual. Discuss with your instructor about your goals which will assist the instructor train you towards achieving the same. Only when you know what you want to attain will you be able to select the most suitable style of Yoga you would want to practice.

The second most common mistake is beginners would always want to start their practice with a 12 month stage by stage class. The classes are normally very educative but chances are you may end up choosing a class that is not perfect for you. Normally, one pays for the classes upfront then progresses up the levels as the weeks go by. It is advisable that you first start with a drop class, commonly known as Yoga beginner class. The beginner classes give one an in-depth feel of the different types of Yoga. Since people join at different times, the instructor is able to tame the class as they progress.

An advantage of these classes is that there are very minimal, if any, financial outlays as one decides which style and type of yoga works best for them. Similarly, one is never obliged to attend the classes hence there won’t be any financial losses or any chances of missing out on important lessons. Whereas you can miss out a lot if you absconded classes for two weeks in a row for the long course, with this course, you start where you left. The classes are pay-as-you-progress types unlike the one off payment of the 12 month classes.

The final mistake, and which is very critical is selecting the wrong teacher. Like any other profession, there is a huge difference of what one achieves depending on the skills and the abilities of their instructor. Before beginning a class, check on your instructor’s background, experience and qualifications. A wrong choice of an instructor may even lead to one having sports injuries which otherwise may have been avoided.

Yoga is a wonderful and popular exercise that requires very little equipment and virtually no room to perform. One of the only things that a yoga practitioner needs – especially if he or she is going to take a formal yoga class – is a yoga mat. The mat will provide a comfortable, cushioned surface.

Yoga students will be able to choose from several different kinds of mat – the cotton mats (also called shiatsu), sticky mats, travel mats, and ultra mats. Choosing the right yoga mat depends mostly on the practitioner’s individual preferences as well as their budget.

The cotton mats help to keep the practitioner from sliding and other undesired movements during their exercises. They are soft and comfortable – far more so than sitting on a wooden floor.

Sticky mats are so named because they provide the yoga student with great traction, not to mention an ample amount of cushioning. They are thin, roll up easily, and are easy to transport to and from yoga class.

Travel mats are extremely thin and do not provide the cushioning that the other types of mats have. However, they are easy to take along with you when you go on vacation because of their small size and weight. These work best on carpeted floors since they have no real cushioning of their own.

Ultra mats are very similar to sticky mats – they are simply thicker and have extra cushioning. This may be desirable for some yoga practitioners. Fortunately, the extra bulk of the ultra mat does not greatly hamper the ease of transportation associated with the sticky mats.

With all of the different types of yoga mats available, choosing the right yoga mat that suits you, your budget, and the type of yoga you do is easy.

There are quite a few different yoga postures you can choose from. It is a good idea to take your own level of fitness into consideration. There are some basic postures that you want to start with. Once you have mastered them you can move on to those that are more advanced. With a good variety of them you will never get bored either. Of course you will find some yoga postures you prefer over others and that is fine too.

Sitting with your back straight and your legs crossed is one of the most common yoga postures out there. Most people find that they feel comfortable in this particular position as well. Standing with your feet slightly apart and your hands in the air over your head is another one that is simple enough to start with.

It is important to make sure you complete the various yoga postures accurately. One of the best ways to do this is to watch videos before you do them on your own. You can buy a DVD or you can watch videos on the computer. You can also enroll in a yoga class for beginners. They have excellent instructors that will walk you through the right way to do the various postures. That way you can get the most benefit from them.

Yoga offers plenty of benefits for a person both physically and mentally. Most of us aren’t as flexible as we would like to be. That is one of the main yoga benefits; your body is more limber. This can help you to achieve more with various types of exercise. It can also reduce the risk of serious injuries occurring. This is because your joints and tendons will be worked and better lubricated than before. The muscles will then become stronger and more toned.

You may not realize it but there are yoga benefits for every part of your body. Research shows that each region of your body including all the vital organs are gently massaged through yoga. You may have health concerns that prevent you from taking part in high impact exercise movements. Yet you can certainly learn some basic yoga positions and still improve your health.

Stress is a key factor that leads to a person not being as healthy as they should be. If you have a high level of stress yoga benefits include eliminating a great deal of the clutter from your mind. That way you can focus on what the important issues really are. By doing so you will be able to concentrate and to make better decisions.

If you are looking for a low impact yet effective way to be healthier overall, you should try yoga. It is a holistic approach that anyone can benefit from. It will take some time for you to master the basics of it though. Dedicate some time to it each day though and you will find that the yoga benefits offered continue to increase for you.

Yoga is about freedom of movement, freedom of thought, and the flow of energy. It only makes sense that a person would want to perform this art in their most natural state, and that is how nude yoga came to pass. It is possible that this practice originally began with a person who took it upon themselves to practice nude yoga in the privacy of their own homes, and somehow or another this practice made it out into the mainstream yoga world.

Why Practice Nude Yoga?

There are many reasons why a person might want to get into nude yoga, but it is important to keep in mind that it isn’t for everyone. People practice nude yoga for a variety of reasons, and everyone’s reason is different. Some people get into it simply for the fact that they love the freedom of being nude, whether in public or in private.

Other people get into it as they want to try something new and different, and nude yoga seems to be the perfect way to get into such an alternative. There is certainly something to be said for the fact that note everybody who is into yoga practices nude yoga; it is like belonging to an exclusive club that not everybody can get into or even wants to.

People who share an interest in nude yoga have a great deal in common, and so many people who belong to nude yoga classes become fast friends-it is a great way to meet people and perhaps pick up a friend with a rare common interest that you can keep around for a long time.

Where to Get Nude Yoga Instruction

Nudity isn’t for everyone, and for that reason nude yoga classes may be kind of hard to come by. Some people have to travel a bit further than they would like for a naked yoga class, but the benefits are well worth it for those who can get true enjoyment from it and are able to find the benefits. If it is not offered at your local community center, you may want to contact the owners and see if you can gather enough support from fellow yogis to get one started in your own community.

Is nude yoga for you? Perhaps, perhaps not. Nude yoga isn’t for everyone but it is another way to be able to enjoy one of the most ancient forms of exercise in the world.

Are you looking to loose some extra weight?

Many people out there have extra weight that they would like to shed, whether it is just a few extra pounds or several extra pounds. There is nothing out there that is quite like being able to lose some extra weight, planning to do so, and being successful at it and people are always on the lookout for newfangled ways to lose some pounds. Here is one thing to consider for weight loss that you might not have yet considered: yoga for weight loss.

It is important to keep in mind that yoga alone is not going to help a person lose weight. It does not raise the heart rate enough to be able to do that on its own, but with the strength that can be derived from yoga it can be combined with an effective cardio workout as a way of losing weight. Read on for a few tips on how to utilize yoga to aid in your weight loss endeavors.

Combine Yoga with Healthy Eating

Healthy eating is a part of any successful diet, and just because you are practicing yoga does not give you an excuse to slack off in that department. A well rounded diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables gives you enough energy to burn off the fat, practice yoga, and do the other things that are required of a person who is looking to burn off some extra weight.

Combine Yoga with a Good Cardio Workout

Strength training and a good cardio workout is critical to effective weight loss. Yoga serves as a great method of strength training but it is important for the heart rate to be raised for thirty minutes or more in order for the fat burning to begin. This can be anything from a quick jog or walk to a treadmill, elliptical, jump rope, or anything else that gets that heart muscle pumping.

Remain Dedicated

Nothing works for weight loss if you don’t stick to it. Yoga will not help you lose weight over night; it is about developing good habits and taking the right route to gradual weight loss that will stick around rather than a quick route to weight loss that won’t last.

Check around your community for a yoga class that you can get started in. Who knows? You may find something that you can really get into in the ancient art of yoga.

Most people are at least somewhat aware of the physical benefits that practicing any type of yoga can pose. It can help to create a sense of balance and stability as well as create flexibility and strength from the inside out. Yoga helps to strengthen all of the muscles and the systems that are of the utmost importance in the human body, and this is not only beneficial for adults-it can benefit infants as well.

Many new moms use yoga to help them to easily burn off the baby fat without strenuous fitness classes or gym equipment. What many of these moms don’t know is that there is a type of yoga for both mom and baby that is safe for both, and not only can it help a new mother get rid of unwanted baby fat but it can help to instill a habit of health and fitness discipline in babies from their very first months of life. It also gives moms just another excuse and way to spend time with their little ones at a time when they might otherwise have to be separated from them.

Benefits of Mom and Baby Yoga

One of the main benefits of mom and baby yoga is that the environment is completely baby friendly. Some babies take longer to get used to the experience than others, and mothers are welcome to do what it takes to calm fussy babies including changing, rocking, feeding, and walking. Some of the friendlier classes that have students who have spent more time together may help moms who are having difficulty calming their baby, allowing the afflicted mother to get a few poses in and calm her nerves while somebody else deals with the little one.

It is important to keep in mind that some babies like this type of thing more than others. Few babies adapt well to mom and baby yoga classes as soon as they are introduced-between the new sights, sounds, and smells as well as the other mothers and babies in the room it can often be a lot to get used to. Some babies will have a better reaction than others; while some take the opportunity to look around and get the sights in others will be fussier-it is important to figure out which category your little one falls into so that you can make necessary adjustments.

Mom and baby yoga classes allow mothers and babies to spend more time together doing something a little differently than they normally would. Some classes have a bit more of a focus on the workout than the babies, and vice versa. It is important to figure out what is most important for you-getting a good workout in, spending time with your little one, or both.

Whether you are looking for an excuse to meet other new moms, set up play dates, or just break a quick sweat consider the fact that mom and baby yoga classes may be just the thing for you and your bundle of joy. You might also want to learn more about Perfect Prenatal Vitamins.

As most of us have heard, yoga is a mind and body freeing exercise routine that is put in place to help keep you fit, relaxed, and in-tune with your mind and body. Through doing yoga, many people realize many things and most people gain a better sense of self awareness and even some valuable coping skills that can help in the fire and noise of the real world.
You Feel What You Wear
A good yoga session begins with good clothing. The cloths that you wear should be reflective of what you are trying to accomplish. Tight and pinched clothing that makes you itch and feel uncomfortable only serves as a distraction when it comes to yoga and the best solution is to wear something comfortable yet form fitting. Yoga clothing can be purchased specially at sports stores as well as some brand name stores, you should find something useful with a little research. What is best varies for each individual person. You will want to steer clear of anything that makes you self conscious, uncomfortable, itchy, or painful as these will distract you from the mind-freeing experience that yoga can offer with the right yoga equipment. Shoes, most often aren’t used during yoga as they add weight to the body and make things uncomfortable, so sporting some comfortable socks can help add to the experience as well.
Placement on a Mat
Perhaps one of the most commonly known pieces of equipment in most gyms that feature yoga or even Pilate’s work outs is the floor mat. The floor mat not only serves as a great way to designate your space, but also serves as a form of friction. This helps especially as your palms and feet begin to sweat. You wouldn’t want to slip, right? A mat can help by creating a sticking surface that gives you more lee-way so you don’t slip and can firmly hold each pose. Yoga mats can be found at various sports stores and gyms, and can be easily cleaned most often.
To buy or not To Buy, That is the Question
There are some other props that can be used during yoga that while they aren’t necessary, they can help make the process more comfortable for you, and eliminate certain distractions. Blankets are a great prop in this category and serve as a pillow, or comfort item when doing laying down position. Blocks are another great optional piece of yoga equipment as they provide balance when doing standing poses, especially if your hands don’t all the way reach the ground.

Recent medical studies and conducted researches clearly show that regularly practicing Yoga reduces the level of stress and therefore anxiety. Yoga helps to bring back balance of the nervous system as well as the endocrine system and it is these two systems that regulate the emotional health within our body.

The prayer squat, half circle, the standing angle, the supine bound angle, the seated twist, the knee down twist, the prayer twist and many of these Yoga poses helps to regulate the positive emotions and eliminates the negative ones. When one is suffering from symptoms of agitation, restlessness, cravings, impatience, insomnia and other such ailments Yoga should be the regular exercise method that he ought to adopt in order to practice slow and deep breathing and thus calm down gradually.
